How To Install Wifi Slax On Usb

How

Greetings:
I wanted a usb linux install. I've tried slax (and puppylinux.) I've used unetbootin, and regular install. That isn't the problem. They install fine, and work with eithernet cable. I simply cannot get either to work in Wireless Mode.
This computer that I installed these with, is:
Dell Latitude 2100, with XP.
Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Wireless Card, Version A.22
BCM4315/BCM22062000
Driver File Details:
c:WindowsSystem32DRIVERSBCMWL5.SYS
----
In linux, either one, neither of the automated Connection programs show any wireless card, I've tried in puppylinux to do the automated ndiswrapper, nothing works...I've tried everything I can come up with, but nothing seems to show. I like slax,I couldn't find what I needed on that forum.
On slax, nothing automated worked, and Downloaded a module, attempting to 'automate' process, no joy either.
iwconfig: no wireless extension
I found this: http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
Which 'seems' to be correct driver, but I've been hours at this, and realize I need to run it be some experts: lack of sleep makes me chancy, and I don't want to hose the OS. Thankyou!
EDIT: Well, before I tried that broadcom driver, I figured I'd try *one* more linux distro, and gave xpud a try, and once it was up, I clicked on the 'wireless' icon, and up came my wireless - yay! . The whole reasons I was doing this was to have a tor anonymous browser, and this works perfect, as firefox is setup for it...so I'm good: thankyou to all who viewed this, and best wishes to everybody still struggling...

How To Install Wifi In Laptop

I am trying to connect to the net wirelessly using Slax off my USB stick. I did the best I could using the wireless configure tool but Firefox will not surf - no connection. The configure tool shows that I am 'partly' connected in that it shows siginal strength in green but I noticed that there is no entry for IP address.
