The Canadian Handbook of Practice for Architects (CHOP) is the definitive reference for the architectural practice in Canada. It reflects the standard of care to be exercised by architects in delivering architectural services. It encompasses both the context of architectural practice as well as the many processes and tools in practice and project management.
Two surveys are being used to gather information about the use of the CHOP in supporting contemporary architectural practice. This is an in-depth survey that requires reflection on practice, reference to the CHOP 2nd Edition, and submission of well considered responses. This in-depth survey is structured not only to gather information about your use of the CHOP but also to function as a learning experience. Participants can anticipate taking 1 1/2 hours to complete this survey. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the RAIC that can be applied against structured continuing education learning hours. Participants will also receive a report that summarizes survey responses and provides insight into contemporary practice. At the end of the survey period you will receive a summary report of all responses.
